Wildwood Acres Farm & Forest School is a small Waldorf-inspired, mostly outdoor independent school and homeschool enrichment program serving children from Preschool through Grade 8. Our mixed-age classes follow the Oak Meadow Waldorf curriculum and reflect the rhythm and values of Waldorf education. Students attend 1–4 days per week as part of our homeschool program.
We are a fully licensed independent school located on a 10-acre working farm in West Brookfield Massachusetts, where the land itself serves as our classroom. While we have several indoor classrooms and a cozy yurt for inclement weather, most of our days are spent outdoors—gardening, exploring, building, and learning in harmony with nature. Our no-tech environment nurtures imagination and creativity, while seasonal festivals and community gatherings foster a deep sense of belonging.
Through experiential learning, students at Wildwood engage in meaningful academics, real-world problem solving, teamwork, and artistic expression. They develop a respect for all living things, a sense of responsibility, and the endurance that comes from spending their days in the elements. At Wildwood, we encourage every child to “find their wild”—their passions, strengths, and unique learning style—while growing into confident, compassionate individuals connected to the world around them.
