Development Director
City of Lakes Waldorf School (CLWS) seeks a Development Director to serve as the primary fundraiser for the school. The Development Director works closely with the Administrative Director and Board of Trustees to establish and achieve fundraising goals to support the growth and financial health of CLWS. They are responsible for developing and managing CLWS fundraising initiatives, and nurturing relationships with donors to achieve annual giving and capital fundraising goals.
The Development Director is also responsible for coordinating key fundraising events, communication to various constituents, the preparation of fundraising materials and reports, and maintaining the donor database. The Development Director reports to the Administrative Director and works closely with administrative colleagues and school leaders to support a robust culture of giving at CLWS.
Qualifications and Benefits
Strong candidates will have demonstrated experience as a fundraiser, preferably in a non-profit and/or educational institution; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate the mission of CLWS and Waldorf education; a commitment to justice, equity and inclusion; a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
