Preschool Teacher
We are a small, private, nature-based, Waldorf-inspired preschool in a warm, homelike environment.
Daily activities include time spent outside in the garden, caring for animals, and developmentally appropriate lessons preparing them for the next level of education.
OGP is open Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with extended care hours.
What we are looking for:
- A dedicated, creative, and inspiring leader with light-filled values
- Someone with a creative spark who has artistic & academic potential/talent across multiple mediums
- Lead teaching experience and ability to hold form with both warmth and expectation
- Passion, care for the future generation, and an ability to make children feel 'seen'
- Someone who works positively and cooperatively within a team
- Someone with a deeply-rooted sense that teaching is a calling/ service
- Experience and/or knowledge of Montessori and Waldorf education styles are extremely beneficial but not required.
- Having interest/partakes in a holistic and organic lifestyle is also beneficial but not required.

- Age Groups: 3.5 - 6
- Some college
- First Aid Training, CPR Training, Early Childhood Education (ECE), Early Child Development Coursework
Responsibilities
- Manage the classroom effectively, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for preschool-aged children.
- Utilize your experience in early childhood education to create engaging lesson plans that promote learning and development.
- Implement Montessori principles to encourage independence and exploration among students.
- Provide individualized attention to support the diverse needs of children in the classroom.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a collaborative learning environment.
- Incorporate animal care activities to enhance children's understanding and appreciation of the natural world.
- Utilize your teaching skills to facilitate educational activities that promote literacy, numeracy, and social skills development.
- Implement behavior management strategies to support positive behavior and social interactions among students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
- Stay updated on best practices in early childhood education and incorporate innovative teaching methods into daily activities.
