Middle School Math
WSP is seeking a part- to full-time math teacher to work with our engaged and curious middle school students (Grades 6 – 8). We seek a middle school math teacher who can see and guide them in their mathematical journey, practicing mathematics in sensible ways, giving them room to adjust, instilling resilience and confidence, supporting the unfolding of their mathematical thinking, while fostering a lifelong love for mathematics. Our middle school campus is co-located with our high school, creating possible additional opportunities.
Waldorf School of the Peninsula (Nursery - Grade 12) is celebrating its 38th year of bringing Waldorf education to Silicon Valley. Our school has two beautiful campuses: Nursery through grade 5 in Los Altos and a few miles away in Mountain View are grades 6-12. WSP is a full member of and accredited by the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America, and fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
A bachelor's degree and successful experience teaching a dynamic math curriculum to middle school students is required. A Waldorf Teacher Training certificate or experience teaching at a Waldorf School is preferred. We particularly welcome inquiries from experienced, Waldorf-trained teachers. The position can be combined with HS Math.
Interested candidates should e-mail their resume, a letter of interest, resume, and a brief biography to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line stating, "MS Math Teacher."
