Parent Child Teacher
Westside Waldorf School seeks teachers for our Parent-Child Program for the 2022 summer and 2022/2023 school year.
Classes provide parents an opportunity to experience and learn about the principles of Waldorf Early Childhood education and how to apply them at home. The teacher will create an atmosphere of warm and supportive companionship in a dedicated classroom at either our McComb campus in Pacific Palisades or at our WECC campus in Santa Monica. The WWS Parent-Child class rhythm includes creative free play, story time, snack preparation, and outdoor play.
The Parent-Child teacher is also responsible for attending weekly Early Childhood Faculty Meetings and for actively recruiting applicants and spreading the word about Waldorf Education within the Westside community before each session.
This is a part-time position (approximately 20 hours/week) with the ability to become a full-time position.
Understanding of Waldorf Education and early childhood teaching experience required; ideal candidate is WECAN-certified.
California ECE recommended
CPR and First AID certified
Candidate must undergo Live Scan (fingerprinting) and a background check prior to being hired
