• prepares daily classroom activities (practical and artistic), circle and story time and indoor and outdoor play that supports the development of the child from age 3 ½ - 6 years old.
• develops weekly and seasonal rhythms
• prepares the children, the parents and themselves for the grade one transition.
• attends leadership and mentorship meetings as required
• will work with a team to ensure the half, full and extended day are held as one fluid program.
• will work with the Early Childhood team
• prepares parent evenings
• writes yearly report cards

The following qualifications are required:
• Bachelor of Education or R.E.C.E. certification
• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience
• Training and/or experience in Waldorf education
• Recent Police Check and CPR-First Aid training.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, colleagues and parents
• Strong organizational skills and energy for working in a vibrant community-based school

Ideal candidates are committed to deepening their understanding of Waldorf Early Childhood, child development, and anthroposophy

The hours are from Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm and follow the school calendar. Attending full sectional meetings, coordinating parent evenings and participating in seasonal festivals are required. A list of mandatory events and festivals will be provided.
