Great Lakes Waldorf Institute (GLWI) is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Administrator who will be as passionate as we are about our program and our future.

The Administrator is in charge of ensuring that the school adheres to and pursues its stated mission, and implements strategies and policies set by the Board of Directors. They will supervise and guide the work of all administrative staff, and ensure adequate communication between the board, faculty, and staff.

The Administrator is accountable to the Board of Directors and oversees the administrative and business operations of GLWI.

Great Lakes Waldorf Institute is an independent, not-for-profit adult learning institution offering Waldorf teacher education programs and professional development and general interest courses and workshops on Waldorf teaching, Waldorf Education, and the arts. GLWI has also recently become a full member of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA). We have laid a solid foundation and are excited about our future potential.

Authorities and Responsibilities:

-- Overall financial management responsibility including but not limited to
overseeing budgeting process, review monthly financial reports, coordinate annual financial review, ongoing monitoring of accounts receivable​
-- Develop additional income streams, including annual appeal
-- Oversee and support administrative staff.​
-- Maintain open flow of communication between board, faculty, and staff.
-- Participate, along with the board and faculty, in creation, implementation, and administration of the strategic plan and other related goals.
-- Marketing - work with administrative staff and Marketing Committee to develop and carry out a marketing plan for the organization.​
-- Oversee Human Resource policies and procedures.
-- Maintain current handbooks, policies, and procedures, and ensure compliance.
-- Participate in Core Faculty meetings related to administrative components of faculty work, as well as board and committee meetings, and other meetings as deemed necessary.
-- Coordinate graduation with the aid of the administrative staff.

Skills and Qualifications
-Bachelor's Degree at a minimum, Master’s Degree a plus
-Experience in an educational or non-profit setting
-Familiarity with Waldorf principles and practices preferred
-Marketing experience a strong plus
-Well organized and able to balance a large number of tasks
-Ability to supervise others in a professional manner
-Ability to analyze, interpret, summarize, and present data effectively
-Ability to be an enthusiastic and articulate spokesperson for Great Lakes Waldorf Institute
-Proficiency with Google Suite applications (e.g. Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.) and/or Microsoft Office, as well as other online platforms

Time and Location Requirements
This is a half-time position with flexible hours. The Administrator may work remotely, with periodic trips to Milwaukee, WI, required.

The salary offered is commensurate with experience.
