Information and Technology manager
Description
The Information and Technology Manager (ITM) ensures that all faculty, administration, and students have access to high performing technology. Additionally, the ITM serves as a reliable and friendly source for questions and moderate training. This is a part-time position.
As a member of the administrative team this person must be flexible, collaborative with all faculty and administration, welcoming and kind to parents and students, and an enthusiastic representative of the Chicago Waldorf School.
Responsibility 1:
Internal IT Support
Enthusiastically support faculty, administration, and students in IT questions and service support.
Faculty, Admin, and Student IT Support
Serve as a help desk for all constituents for a variety of IT questions and troubleshooting.
Maintain Printers, Copiers, Phones, Student Laptops
Coordinate with external consultant for printers, copiers, and phone.
Maintain student laptops, including sign-out process. Ensure all equipment is properly resourced.
Maintain School Portal
Work with Blackbaud to maintain the school’s portal. Support faculty, admin, and students questions and troubleshooting.
Standardized Testing
Administer standardized testing, such as SAT, ACT, and Empower. Properly schedule testing and submit required records to testing entities. Serve as liaison to testing entities.
Responsibility 2:
Liaison to IT Consultant
Serve as primary contact to outside IT consultant.
Liaison
Coordinate all service needs from school.
Evaluate IT Consultant and Contract
Help school to evaluate IT consultant performance. Lead school in competitive bid process and evaluation of IT consultants.

As a member of the administrative team, this person must maintain a flexible and collaborative attitude with all faculty and staff; present a welcoming attitude with parents and students; and be an enthusiastic representative of the Chicago Waldorf School.
• A willingness to assist all CWS employees with tasks that might fall outside of job description.
• Serve as a substitute for indoor and outdoor duties.
• Offer support to parents and students at all times.
• Be a positive representative of CWS at all times on campus.
Qualifications and Expectations
1. Academic or corporate IT support experience: 1+ years
2. Educational degree, certificate, or equivalent in IT services
3. A+ Certification (preferred)
4. Experience with IT help desk support
5. Customer focused, with strong attention to detail
6. Experience troubleshooting: Office 365, Zoom, Blackbaud (preferred)
7. Ability to multi-task.
8. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, open-office, team-based environment.
9. Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information regarding employee communications and personal matters, staff records, faculty records, student records, and personal matters.
10. Willingness to embrace and continue to study the Chicago Waldorf School, its pedagogical philosophy, and the wider Waldorf education movement.
