Position: The Rudolf Steiner School seeks a colleague to join the early childhood department who brings experience and enthusiasm for working with young children, ages 2-6. Strong candidates will possess a Waldorf Early Childhood teacher training and will have teaching experience, ideally in a Waldorf school setting. As a member of the Early Childhood faculty, the Lead teacher will work collaboratively with colleagues on a daily basis and in regular departmental, all-school faculty, and parent meetings. The Lead Teacher carries the classroom, children and parent work with the assistance of an Assistant EC Teacher in each mixed-age nursery classroom. Applying the pedagogical principles of Waldorf education, the teacher is responsible for designing and holding the programs and activities on a day-to-day basis creating a healthy, daily and weekly rhythm as well as consciously implementing a yearly curriculum that acknowledges the year’s seasons and festival life.
