Job Summary

Green Meadow Waldorf School (GMWS) is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager. The Marketing Manager works closely with the Director of Operations and Director of Admissions to develop and implement a broad, comprehensive, and strategic marketing plan designed to promote Green Meadow Waldorf School across multiple channels. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and implement the annual GMWS Marketing Plan and ensure its alignment with the Board Strategic Plan; includes creation, management, and implementation of ad campaigns; planning marketing/outreach events; overseeing social media, SEO, and web/blog strategy; and producing online/print materials
  • Develop the yearly marketing budget in collaboration with the Administrator, defining appropriate marketing mix, evaluating results against goals, and articulating ROI
  • Develop ad campaign messaging and oversee ad design and placement; follow through to payment
  • Strategize with and provide all content for consultants on SEO and social media, track budget and expenses for these consultants
  • Analyze effectiveness of the website and implement strategic changes as needed, with assistance from SEO consultant and input from all stakeholders, esp. the Admissions Dept.
  • Maintain an awareness of the school’s reputation (through analytics and other tools) and distribute research that supports the brand
  • Develop materials for and publicize various school programs, projects, sports, events, student/faculty achievements, and development initiatives.
  • Oversee the production of a variety of materials meant to increase the school’s visibility and competitive positioning and enhance the public’s perception of the school.
  • Work across all departments, including Athletics and the Arts, to trumpet student activities and successes.

Qualification Requirements

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and capacities, professional experience, and educational background:

  • Experience working in a Waldorf school or an independent school, [experience with or knowledge of Waldorf education will be especially helpful].
  • Established background in marketing.
  • Experience managing a budget
  • Willingness to work in a collaborative environment and work closely with other members of the leadership team.
  •  Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing.
  •  Experience in prioritizing tasks and managing complex, long-term projects.
  •  Experience in desktop publishing design and management of design production.
  • Demonstrated experience with photography, videography, website content management and design, client relationship management software and social media marketing.
  • Demonstrated success as a confident problem solver.
  • Outstanding organizational and presentation skills.
  • Creative and artistic vision and direction.
  • Positive attitude, flexible approach, and a sense of humor.
  • Bachelor’s degree, communications, marketing, or similar discipline.
