Responsibilities:

• Provide after school hours care that includes supervision of outdoor play, for early childhood through Grade 8 students
• Preparing daily/weekly activity plans in the light of Waldorf pedagogy
• Bring age-appropriate care and activities to meet the varying needs of the children based on Waldorf pedagogy and child development
• Guiding and nurturing the children’s sense of community through collaborative activities appropriate for mixed-age groups, and a balanced rhythm of the extended care period
• Maintain healthy and orderly classroom environments
• Work collaboratively with other faculty and administrators, as well as the parent community, to create an educational environment that is aligned with the school mission and values
• Participate in required faculty meetings 

Qualifications:

• Priority will be given to those who are in Waldorf teacher training
• Experience with or willingness to learn about Waldorf education and curriculum is highly desired
• Experience working with groups of mixed-age children
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Positive and effective communication skills
• Ability to work supportively and in collaboration with colleagues
• Reliable, punctual, well-organized, and efficient
