Mancos Dragonfly School is a non-profit Waldorf inspired Parent Child to Grade One school in beautiful Mancos Colorado. We are looking for a Lead Preschool teacher for the fall 2022/23 school year.

The 2022/23 school year will be our fourth year! Our goal is to add a grade each year through third grade! 

We currently have 6 incredible teachers, 5 of whom are taking the Explorations Course, several who have their Lifeways Certificates, and our Director is taking the Waldorf Leadership Training. 

Job Description- The class teacher is responsible for the following: ensouling the classroom, parent teacher conferences in the spring and fall, parent communication, 1 hr per week Lead Teacher meetings, 1 hr per week meeting with your assistant, 2 hour per week Faculty meetings, Seasonal Parent Evenings (3 a year), Circle Prep, Finger Games, Story Prep, Puppet show Prep, classroom prep, festival prep and attendance, and Birthday Celebrations.

Our school is striving to incorporate the Waldorf Pedagogy into all aspects of our school; our programs, our teachers, our administration, our Board, and our Parent Body. 

We celebrate many festivals throughout the year, and strive to bring reverence, love, beauty, goodness, and truth to the children and each other.

Mancos is a small town, in a great location. The people are friendly and there is a lot going on in our down to earth community.

Conveniently located between Durango and Telluride, we are near Mesa Verde and we enjoy all Four Seasons!!
