The Waldorf School of San Diego (WSSD) is seeking an experienced Spanish teacher. We welcome resumes for the ’22 – ’23 school year. Our campus is located in a culturally diverse urban setting that is within walking distance of the high school campus and within 10 miles of the Pacific Ocean. The faculty works collaboratively and all of our full-time teachers are fully trained in Waldorf Education.
WSSD is looking for a Spanish teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate would hold a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish or related field of teaching and have demonstrated leadership or other professional skills. We prefer a candidate with prior Waldorf teaching experience who holds a Waldorf Certificate of training, but are open to someone that would be willing to take up Waldorf Training at a later date. This individual will be ready to cultivate a creative and engaging learning environment for students in the broad Waldorf language curriculum and work collaboratively with the Grades 5-8 Spanish teacher. While working with students at all levels of Spanish linguistic talent, this individual should be able to display a strong focus on an immersive approach to teaching in which students are actively developing the skills to express themselves in Spanish. We offer a generous starting salary with increments for training and experience, tuition remission, a health care plan, and 401K with matching contributions for full time faculty.
