[Priority Listing] Kindergarten Assistant Teacher
We are seeking dedicated, energetic, creative and prepared professionals to join our Early Childhood teaching team working with kindergarten-aged children. Waldorf Education believes the key indicators to being successful in kindergarten and in life are strong social and emotional skills, a curiosity for learning, and strong supportive role models.
Roles and Responsibilities
WSP Employees working with these young children must be appropriate role models for the children and parents. Each employee is responsible for exhibiting good communication, problem solving and priority setting skills as well as maintaining an overall positive attitude. Specific duties are based on positions. General duties are as follows:
- Fulfill agreed upon responsibilities within classroom
- Attend and help run EC-wide events
- Be available for evenings and weekends occasionally
Preferred Qualifications
Waldorf teacher training completed or in progress. We support teachers who are interested or need to complete Waldorf Teacher training
Preferred Experience and Education
Experience in a Waldorf classroom or similar setting and working with nursery through kindergarten aged children successfully. Intercultural proficiency is a plus.
*All Faculty and staff must have current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain, complete a Health Screening by a licensed physician, and complete a fingerprinting LiveScan as required by the state of California.
Compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience.
