Enrollment and Outreach Coordinator: Immediate Opening
The Detroit Waldorf School seeks a full-time Enrollment and Outreach Coordinator. This position reports to the Administrative Chair and has an immediate opening.
The Enrollment and Outreach Coordinator manages enrollment and outreach efforts at the Detroit Waldorf School. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the creation and implementation of an enrollment and outreach plan, overseeing the admissions process for our Early Childhood Center (ECC) and Grades 1- 8, working with prospective families from first inquiry to matriculation, tracking and evaluating student retention, monthly reporting to the Board of Trustees, managing the Parent and Child Program enrollment, planning and conducting open houses, tours, parent education events, and other outreach and enrollment events, helping to frame the overall message of the school, and coordinating with marketing and public relations.
Qualities and Qualifications Minimum qualifications include an understanding, commitment and ability to articulate Waldorf education and the school’s mission, knowledge of trends within the Waldorf movement, an interest in an ongoing study of Waldorf pedagogy, a Bachelor’s degree, three years of experience in an administrative setting, ability to manage multiple projects, strong strategic, analytical, and organizational skills with attention to detail, strong oral and written communication skills, and initiative, an outgoing, enthusiastic and warm presence, a commitment to working well with others as a member of a team, and experience working with volunteers. Desired qualifications include previous experience working at a Waldorf/Steiner school, Waldorf teacher training certification, RenWeb or similar student information database experience, and experience with marketing and development.
Hours and Compensation Normal work hours are 8:00-4:00 Monday-Friday, participation in a weekly faculty and staff meeting after school and additional evening and weekend work also required.
This is a year-round salaried position with a base salary of $43,000 with the following benefits: health and dental insurance, retirement, professional development, and tuition remission. Additional compensation, commensurate with experience and credentials, is added to the base salary.
