Position: School Store Manager (Snake & Lily School Store)
Reports to: Administrator
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Under the Administrator, the Store Manager is responsible for the overall management of the school store, to
include to enhancing customer satisfaction, meet sales and profitability goals and manage staff effectively.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
● Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, and analyzing
variances.
● Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual
customers to understand service requirements.
● Ensures availability of merchandise and services by approving contracts.
● Formulates pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities, determining additional needed
sales promotions, and authorizing clearance sales.
● Markets merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans.
● Secures merchandise by implementing security systems and measures.
● Works with Pedagogy to determine curricular support products to carry in the store.
● Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
● Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.
● Determines marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and
departmental sales records.
● Leads operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program procedures.
● Manages all facets of volunteer opportunities in the store
● Other duties as assigned by the Administrator.

● Strong retail business acumen
● Working knowledge of PC Windows applications
● Flexible scheduling availability; reliable transportation
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
● Degree (or equivalent) (preferred)
● Experience working with POS systems
● Experience with Shopify or equivalent system
● Experience working collaboratively and courteously as an effective team member (required)
PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS:
● Repetitive finger, hand, & wrist motion
● Other physical requirements involve walking, stair climbing, lifting, stretching, bending, etc.
throughout a regular workday
● Must be able to stand for long periods of time (up to 9 hours) on the sales floor
● Must be able to move and/or lift to 25 pounds.
● Must be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs up to 50lbs
Compensation: $20/hour
