Wishing Well School is hiring an Assistant Kindergarten teacher for the 2022/23 school year. Operating for 13 years, we have experienced healthy growth in recent years and now serve over 140 students. We are hiring an Assistant Kindergarten teacher for one of our two mixed-age Kindergarten classrooms.
Located in the Central Coast of California, we are fortunate to live in a rare, beautiful geography, ranking in the top ten for health and happiness in national surveys. Offering Preschool – 8th grade, we are a Member of WECAN and are a Registered Initiative with AWSNA. We are an energetic school with a creative, “can do” spirit. The previous school year, we expanded to add a second Kindergarten class and graduated our first 8th grade. We are blessed with an active parent body, a supportive Board, and a caring, collaborative faculty.
Wishing Well School is seeking a compassionate, thoughtful, and collaborative problem-solver to become part of our extraordinary Early Childhood team. Working in harmony with our lead teacher, the Assistant position is responsible to help foster a warm, caring, safe, and supportive atmosphere for our Early Childhood students.
Qualified candidates are required to have completed 6 units of ECE (3 units may be from current enrollment in coursework) and have completed at least one year of childcare work experience. This position is best served by a reliable individual who values teamwork, can work flexibly and creatively, and who can live into the virtues and values of Waldorf education. As a developing program, our teachers and staff share a deeply supportive ethic, where being a “team player” is essential to meeting our classroom and program needs.
This full time position is paid hourly, less a 30 minute unpaid break, Monday - Friday from 7:30am - 3:00pm. Salary range is competitive and depends on experience.
