Handwork Teacher - Part-Time, Hourly
Handwork Teacher Position - 23/24 School Year
The Waldorf School of St. Louis is looking for a qualified handwork teacher for the 2023 - 2024 school year. Responsibilities include teaching two, 40-minute classes per week to four, combined grade-level classes. The handwork teacher participates in lesson planning and report writing for grades 1-8 and collaborates with the lead teachers of those classes.
The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm for the subject, a sense for the stages of child development, hold a BA in a related field, is familiar with sewing, knitting, fiber arts, woodworking and other handwork, have working knowledge of Waldorf Education, and experience teaching in the classroom.
