First Grade Class Teacher - 2023-2024 School Year
Waldorf School of the Peninsula is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic grades teacher to take our First Grade class in the 2023-2024 school year. We will be welcoming a large class of very enthusiastic students coming out of our Early Childhood program. Candidates must be committed to excellence in teaching, parent education and dialogue, self-development, and collegial cooperation. Bachelor’s degree and Waldorf training required. We are looking for a dynamic individual who is interested in joining our well-established grades faculty within a growing and thriving Silicon Valley community.
Our energetic group of 20 rising grade 1 students seeks a teacher who can engage their eagerness to know about their world and to experience its wonder. They love to move and explore everything that moves around them. We are looking for a teacher to guide their love of learning through a calming presence as they meet you with their bright eyes and passion for life. They cannot wait to meet you.
- Certificate of Completion in Waldorf Teaching
- Bachelor’s degree
- Previous Waldorf class teaching experience

Waldorf School of the Peninsula (Nursery – Grade 12) is celebrating bringing Waldorf education to Northern California for 38 years. Our school has two beautiful campuses: early childhood through grade 5 in Los Altos, and a few miles away in Mountain View are grades 6-12. Our school is a full member of, and accredited by, the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America. The school is also fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The compensation range for this position is $65,000 - $90,000 depending on qualifications.
The Los Altos Campus is located in picturesque Los Altos Hills, near a nature preserve.
