Staff Support Administrator
Job responsibilities
- Order classroom and office supplies, and maintain respective inventory levels
- Maintain internal class budget allocation records
- Vendor management and accounts payable
- Order professional development courses and conferences for staff
- Maintain professional development budget
- Routine bookkeeping for all of the above
- Registrar work - to assist with updating, maintaining and following up on student records and transcripts.
- Support Nursery, Kindergarten, and Grades programs through pre-arranged substitution in classrooms to support teacher observation and mentoring
- Lead ‘Family Buddy’ program for incoming families
- Support teachers by liaising with Class Parents as needed
- Support staff in creating documents for parents
- Facility reservations for events
Hours and Compensation
- 20 hours/week with some hours (can be remote) on each school day
- Includes a closing shift (until 5:45pm) one day per week (currently Wednesdays)
- $25/hour
Requirements
- Fulfill Child Care Center licensing requirements, including fingerprinting, TB Test, proof of immunity
- Bachelor’s or equivalent degree
- Experience working in a school setting preferred
- Experience with Waldorf Education preferred
