High School Earth Science Teacher
The Hartsbrook School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced full-time High School Earth
Science Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year, with potential for phasing in during the
current school year. This teacher will lead a sequence of earth science and environmental
science classes to all high school grades (9-12) including geology, climatology, and
sustainability. Other contributions include participation in our interdisciplinary ACTS (Agency,
Community, Terra, and Social Justice) Program, which offers students a deeper understanding
of current systems and how to address positive change for the future.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, teacher training, and experience teaching at a Waldorf school or
interest in acquiring Waldorf teacher training.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues within an interdisciplinary curriculum.
Experience in equity and inclusion work that supports a diverse community.
Interest in making a positive impact on the lives of adolescents.
Interest in developing and implementing a rich, diverse, interdisciplinary high school
curriculum.
Compensation
The salary range for a full-time teacher is $43,300 to $58,300 based upon experience.
