Summer School Kinderhale Teacher/Director
Are you a kindergarten Waldorf teacher or in training to become one? Don’t miss this opportunity to spend six weeks on the Big Island of Hawaii this summer!
Mālamalama Waldorf School is currently seeking a Summer School Kinderhale Teacher for the summer of 2023. The program runs from June 20th - July 28th. This is a great opportunity to visit the Big Island of Hawaii and enjoy the beautiful weather, beaches, and unique volcanic landscape. The school will help with travel expenses and accommodation for eligible candidates.
Qualifications:
Candidates must meet the qualification requirements for a Teacher and/or Director Teacher license of the State of Hawaii and be willing to obtain a license, which is easy to obtain. Ideal candidates should have completed Waldorf Early Childhood training or be in the process of obtaining it and have experience working with young children. A joyful love for the young child and a commitment to Waldorf Education is required. Candidates should have excellent communication skills and be able to work well with colleagues and parents. First Aid/CPR certification is necessary, and a background check must be passed.
Responsibilities:
The Summer School Kinderhale Teacher will be responsible for providing a nurturing and supportive environment for young children while creating an enriching and meaningful experience for them. The teacher will work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to plan and implement daily activities that support the development of the whole child, including creative play, nature exploration, and artistic activities.
