After School Clubs and Activities Instructors 2022-23

Sycamore Creek Community Charter School is welcoming applications for After School Clubs and Activities Instructors for the 2023-24 school year. Successful candidates will enthusiastically and energetically engage students and will work collaboratively with other faculty and administrators to create an environment that is aligned with the school mission and program goals. This position is an integral part of the school, which offers a secure, healthy, and nurturing environment for children with seasonal rhythms that include after school activities. We are looking for creative individuals with a love and enthusiasm for teaching children.

Sycamore Creek Community Charter School began in 2019 and serves approximately 160 students from early childhood through grade eight. We offer a full Waldorf curriculum, including handwork, instrumental and choral music, woodworking, gardening, drama, Spanish, and games/movement.

Job requirements:

  • Teach a fun and developmentally appropriate skill or activity to children
  • Keep children engaged and safe at all times
  • At least one year experience in teaching specific activity or skill preferred
  • Reliable, punctual, good communication skills

After school clubs and activities can be offered any weekday afternoon between 3:00-5:00pm for a set number of weeks. Bring your ideas!

After school clubs and activities instructors are paid as independent contractors. The pay rate is $500.00 and includes a minimum of 10 hours of club/activity time with children, meeting time, training time, and prep/clean up time as needed. Must pass a background check and provide proof of COVID vaccine or an exception request form. Benefits are not offered with these positions.
