Friends of Willow Tree is seeking a part-time Games and Movement teacher for grades 1st – 8th to start this coming Fall.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The teacher will be responsible for helping shape the physical and inner growth of the children through developmentally appropriate games, as well as overseeing and training for the 5th grade for the Pentathlon, the 6th grade for the Medieval Games, and the 7th and 8th grade for the Track Meet. This position will involve teaching at least eight 55-minute classes a week. It also includes paid prep time per week.

The ideal candidate has completed training in Spatial Dynamics and Bothmer Gymnastics, as well as, having experience teaching elementary and middle school students.

LOCATION

Our community will welcome you to our friendly village in North County San Diego. The town of Fallbrook is an area rich in Waldorf community, biodynamic farms, study groups, and close proximity to WISC (Waldorf Institute of Southern California). Our program serves a diverse population that might not otherwise have access to a curriculum inspired by Waldorf methods.

QUALIFICATIONS

~ Bachelor’s degree

~ Physical Education teaching experience

~ Current TB test results (within the past 4 years)

~ Pass a background check (LiveScan)

~ CPR certified 

**Spatial Dynamics training is preferred but not required

START DATE

August 2023

COMPENSATION

We offer an hourly rate of $35/hr for a 9 -10 hour workweek (Monday – Thursday).
