Part-Time Music Educator Grades 3-8
Tucson Waldorf School is seeking a part-time Music Educator for grades 3-8 for the 2023-24 school year. The position includes introducing and developing strings proficiency in grades 4 and 5 and leading a middle school strings ensemble for grades 6-8. Additionally, this teacher will teach general music to grade 3.
Our ideal candidate will be experienced working with children aged 8-14 and be an accomplished musician with the ability to teach in a group setting to students with varying abilities. Ideally, primary instruments would include violin, viola, and cello. We are looking for someone who can bring music in a joyful way while managing the overall classroom environment.
Tucson Waldorf School, established in 1993, is a full member of the Association of Waldorf Schools in North America. With 220 students in nursery through Grade 8 classes, we are a growing school with a warm and caring community of families, faculty, and staff. We are located on ten beautiful acres nestled at the foot of the Catalina Mountains.
