[Priority Listing] First Grade Teacher 2023-2024
Potomac Crescent Waldorf School seeks a first grade class teacher for the 2023-2024 school year to join our dedicated faculty and vibrant community at our newly renovated school in historic Old Town Alexandria. The parks in our neighborhood have beautiful views of the Potomac River.
Our unique salary and governance structure supports competitive salaries and a collaborative work environment. We award additional pay to recognize Waldorf teaching experience, as well as completion of Waldorf teacher training certification. We also offer strong mentoring support for new class teachers, and we support engagement in Waldorf conferences and professional development opportunities as much as possible. The ideal candidate will have a confident classroom presence with strong social and communication skills and a love for children and teaching. We are seeking candidates who have a bachelor’s degree and either have completed Waldorf grades training at a teacher preparation program or have great potential to succeed in this position and are receptive to mentoring. This position is exempt.
