Parent/Child Teacher
City of Lakes Waldorf School seeks a Parent/Child Educator to join our faculty in Fall 2023. The teacher will be responsible for creating and maintaining a beautiful, warm and nurturing Waldorf program for young children (18-36 months), and their parent/guardian. The program is designed to support parents in developing healthy parenting skills, create community amongst class participants, and educate parents about the value and benefits of Waldorf education.
Qualified candidates will have a college degree, a strong interest in Waldorf education and proven capacities as a parent/child educator. We are seeking individuals who are committed to self-development, educational equity and inclusion. A love of young children, a deep understanding of the Waldorf pedagogy as it relates to the young child, and a demonstrated capacity to educate and work well with parents is required. The teacher must work collaboratively within the school as a whole, and within the Early Childhood program, which consists of Toddler, Preschool, and Kindergarten classes.
Qualifications and Benefits: The ideal candidate will be an experienced parent and early childhood educator. Strong candidates will have completed a bachelor’s degree and a Lifeways or Waldorf Early Childhood Teacher certificate program.
