Lead Kindergarten Teaching Position Beginning July 1, 2023

The Austin Waldorf School (AWS) is seeking a Lead Kindergarten Teacher to join our early childhood faculty this Fall. The successful candidate will embrace the established Waldorf curriculum in concert with the culture of the Austin Waldorf School. AWS has three mixed-age kindergarten classes ranging from ages 3½-6, and a preschool ages 3-4. Each Kindergarten class has up to 18 students , and a preschool class with 14 students, with full time assistants and additional nap assistants.

This position requires excellent organizational skills, creativity, warmth and flexibility, along with personal initiative. An awareness of developmental needs of the students is necessary.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree.

• Completed Early Childhood Waldorf teacher training.

• Excellent written and social communication skills.

• Excellent collaboration skills and a spirit for innovation.

AWS is an established school community with an enrollment of nearly 400 students.
