Business Manager
The Emerson Waldorf School is seeking applicants for a Full-Time Business Manager position who is responsible for the overall management of the school’s financial activities. This position begins effective August 1, 2023. General responsibilities include supervision of the day-to-day accounting and financial activities of the school. These activities include responsibilities such as: managing accounts receivable and accounts payable, budgeting, financial reporting and oversight of financial aid. This position is responsible for ensuring the maintenance of appropriate policies and procedures as it relates to the school’s finances. The Business Manager works directly with the Finance Committee, the Faculty and Administration. This work includes developing and reviewing financial models and policies that ensure long-term affordability and sustainability of the school. The Business Manager is a leader in the work to optimize revenue and budget performance which is aligned with the school’s mission and philosophy.

• Ability to construct and maintain a budget
• Strong executive function skills
• Ability to maintain professionalism, including confidentiality
• Ability to work collaboratively with the Board, faculty, staff and families
• Familiarity with HR procedures
Salary and Benefits: This is a salaried, full-time, year-round position. The salary range is commensurate with experience. The benefits package includes medical insurance. Tuition remission is provided for full-time faculty/staff children.
