Full-Time Primary School Teachers (grades 1-5)
Our creative and passionate faculty is looking for a colleague who will enthusiastically join in our collaborative work with faculty, staff, and parents/caregivers. The ideal candidate has experience teaching students within an inclusive, safe, and respectful learning environment and a strong interest in offering Public Waldorf education. A Colorado teaching license and Waldorf teacher training or certifications are highly desired. At minimum the candidate will meet the “in-field” guidelines set forth in the Colorado state ESSA plan, by meeting at least one of the following requirements (1) endorsement on a Colorado teaching license; (2) holding at least a BA or higher in the relevant subject area; (3) completing 36 semester credit hours in the subject matter in which they teach; or (4) passing a State Board approved content exam in the relevant subject area.
The ideal candidate will have completed Waldorf Grades Teacher training and/or have experience teaching in a school using the Waldorf methodology, meet teacher requirements under ESSA, and seek to carry and nurture a class for many years. We offer a competitive salary with compensation for applicable years of experience, advanced degrees, and ongoing professional development, including Waldorf teacher training. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and PERA (retirement). Please review the 2022-23 MPCS Salary Scale. Please note, thanks to Governor Polis and increase in educational funding across Colorado, MPCS is planning to significantly increase instructional staff salaries for the 23-24 year.
