7th Grade Homeroom Teacher
For the 2022/23 school year, Tamarack adopted a unique approach to Grades 5-8 that combines traditional teacher/student matriculation with direct instruction in areas of subject specialization. Most full-time teachers in Grades 5-8 serve as homeroom teachers for a single grade and can matriculate with the class serving the groups’ social and emotional well-being. Full and part-time teachers offer instruction in specialized fields in both the traditional morning lesson and subsequent skills schedule. This Upper Grades model is continuing for the 23/24 school year, and Tamarack is looking for two new homeroom teachers.
7th Grade Homeroom: This full-time position in the heart of our Upper Grades progression involves homeroom responsibility for our rising 7th Grade, a robust and lively group, as well as specialty teaching in both morning lesson and skills periods. The preferred candidate would have a humanities background with the interest to develop and execute a full range of English/Language Arts programing as well as some possible history blocks for Upper Grades students.
