School Administrator
Responsible for the management and coordination of all administrative (non-teaching) activities of the school including governance, communications, human resources, enrollment, marketing, fundraising and development (in liaison with TWSF), facility operations, general administration, and compliance. Ensures that the Vision, Mission, and Values established at The Toronto Waldorf School are upheld in all aspects of the Administration of the school. The primary reporting relationship is to the Board of Directors.
KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION (Abilities, Skills, Behaviours):
· A successful work history in leadership roles including administrative management, policy development, marketing, strategic planning, human resources, communications, facility management and information systems.
· Experience on the administrative side of a private school/reporting directly to a Board of Directors is an asset.
· Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
· Strong general administrative management skills.
· Ability to analyze, interpret, summarize, and present administrative data in an effective manner appropriate to different audiences using appropriate technology.
· An applied understanding of current human resources practices and employment law
A Demonstrated:
· Leadership history of building capacity, supporting, and developing the people on their team.
· Understanding and commitment to working within the ideals of anthroposophy and Waldorf education; training and experience in applying those ideals in school administration or a willingness to pursue learning in this area.
· Capacity for sound judgement and decision making.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and convert strategy into effective operational activities and achievements in a timely manner.
Compensation
