Marketing & Communications Manager
The Susquehanna Waldorf School (SWS) is seeking a full-time Marketing & Communications Manager. This position is an integral part of our active, collaborative leadership team.
The Marketing & Communications Manager works closely with the school’s administrative team to communicate the vision and mission of SWS via digital and experiential (person-to-person) marketing, written publications, ads, our website and social media. She/he/they will incorporate the goals of the Development and Enrollment Committees, providing a cohesive strategy and message for the school.
Located in Marietta, PA, SWS has been bringing Waldorf Education to the Lancaster, York, and Dauphin counties for more than 35 years. Susquehanna Waldorf School offers a developmentally appropriate, experiential, and academically rigorous education. Primary Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy for the whole organization
Create, design and produce materials (written, graphics, video) to drive SWS goals for enrollment, fundraising, and total school community participation and inclusion
Lead the online branding and communications activities for all parts of the school’s presence; manage the SWS website and social media
Advance the branding, marketing (including research and segmentation), database management functions, email campaigns, social media and/or display advertising campaigns, graphic design and SEO/SEM management
Support and enhance the school community’s communications for all special events, annual festivals, and weekly happenings, reaching SWS family, friends, and supporters
Participate fully with members of leadership, staff, and faculty in advancing the growth and success of SWS
Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to fulfill the needs of the school community, leadership, faculty, team members, and the public when needed
Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline and/or relevant experience in communications, marketing, and public relations
A work history in schools or education is preferred, previous Waldorf experience would be very welcome
Ability to fully support the Waldorf mission, values and merits of the school, to represent it effectively for internal and external audiences
Competency with various software packages and platforms that support communications and marketing functions (Google Suite, WordPress, Constant Contact, Canva)
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, think strategically, and build relationships with multiple stakeholders
Mature and confident relationship skills to work effectively with faculty, parents, administrators, board members, and children
Flexibility to attend some evening and weekend events
