The Upper Valley Waldorf School in Quechee, Vermont, is hiring for an Upper Grades Math teacher. Work includes class planning & teaching three to six classes weekly, communicating & collaborating with the Class Teacher regarding individual student & whole class progress and needs, and writing mid-year & end-of-year reports. This is a part-time position, with a 15-40% FTE. We seek a candidate who has relevant teaching experience and a strong interest in Waldorf education.
The Upper Valley Waldorf School is a Preschool through Eighth Grade school with a projected enrollment of 130 for the 2023-2024 school year. We offer a rich Waldorf curriculum, which includes French, woodwork, handwork, movement, instrumental music and chorus. Our school holds a dual accreditation with AWSNA/NEASC and we completed a successful capital campaign in 2018 resulting in new classrooms for our Grades 5-8 students. It is an exciting time to join the UVWS faculty! There are several other Waldorf schools within two hours drive, as well as the New England Waldorf Teachers Training Program at Antioch University in Keene, NH.
